I love Japanese supermarkets! (part 2)

There are things weird and wonderful about Japan. For example, one can buy an egg. Nothing special, right? But wait. One can buy a perfectly boiled egg with hard white and slightly runny yolk. The egg comes in a pretty plastic box. Still not amazed? Wait.
The egg is salty. Not only on the outside. It is salty to the very inside of it.
How is that possible??
I can not find a good answer for that, nor internet provides me with any information on this subject. The only good expatiation is a miracle. Or aliens.
Anyway, a boiled salty egg with shelf life longer than canned tuna is both weird and wonderful for sure.
Goodnight, Japan.
